Taking Delivery - Before Paint Protection Work Started
Porsche Centre Bristol took delivery of the car end of Dec and we collected it on behalf of the customer a few days after.

Covered Car Transport
We utilised our covered car transporter to ensure the Porsche arrived at our facilities without any damage from road debris / stone chips.
Initial Inspection
Before commencing the paint protection process, our skilled team conducted a thorough inspection of the Porsche 718 GTS 4.0. We examined the vehicle, identifying any pre-existing damage or imperfections that could impact the final result.
This attention to detail allowed us to address any issues proactively, ensuring a flawless outcome. If any swirls or defects in the paintwork are not corrected at this stage, they'll be locked under the paint protection film for a very long time.
Even though Porsche generally produces very high quality paintwork, it's always worth spending the time to go through this stage, which can take a couple of days to fully correct any issues, just to make sure we're targeting a perfect finish.
With the car unloaded and safely indoors, we then dried the vehicle so we could start the inspection phase.
Wash, Clean & Inspect:
To prepare the Porsche, we moved it to our dedicated wash bay. Using specialised tools and premium cleaning agents, we go through a systematic process of cleansing the vehicle.
We eliminate any contaminants that could compromise the film's adhesion or debris that may be lingering after paint correction. Once again, our goal is to provide a pristine surface for the paint protection film.
Once washed, we then go through a final check looking for any minor scratches or swirl marks on the Porsche's surface, our skilled technicians perform this using specialist lights which highlight these areas to the naked eye.
This step guarantees a smooth and even surface before applying the protective film.
Precise Cutting & Application of Paint Protection Film
At Autotrilogy, we employ state-of-the-art computerised cutting machines to create precise templates for the paint protection film.
These templates are designed to fit each of our customers vehicles precisely. In some cases, we modify the templates to allow for additional material to allow us to wrap the edges of the PPF behind panels.
This bespoke customisation means we can not only fit the film perfectly to the vehicle, but it also allows us to ensure that wherever possible the films edges will not visible. It's the details which count, and these small adjustments all add up towards a perfect result.
Once the film has been computer cut, our highly trained technicians then apply the film, taking great care to wrap the edges for a seamless fit and preserve the car's paintwork.
Climate-Controlled Environment and Ceramic Coating:
After the film was applied, we allowed it to settle for 24 hours in our climate-controlled room.
This controlled environment ensures proper bonding of the film to the vehicle's surface, guaranteeing optimal protection. Once the film has full adhesion, we can then safely work on applying the Gtechniq ceramic coating on top.
With this customers car, we applied a high-quality Gtechniq ceramic coating to enhance the car's defence against UV rays, dirt, and grime. The ceramic coating not only adds an extra layer of protection but also provided a stunning, long-lasting, high-gloss finish.
It's hydrophobic nature (repels water) also makes washing this car so much faster.
Thorough Quality Control:
Before handing over the keys to this newly protected Porsche, our team conducted a meticulous quality control check. We examined every inch of the paint protection film, ensuring it met our rigorous standards.
Any imperfections, bubbles, or peeling were addressed to ensure your vehicle received the highest level of protection with an invisible shield.

A Week Later... Aftersales Care.
We like our customers to pop back in after a week has passed, just so we can complete a full inspection of the vehicle and ensure everything is exactly how it should be.
There is no change for this, and if the customer wishes we can discuss correct washing techniques and gives some helpful advice to guide customers towards preserving the cars finish for years to come.
In this instance we demonstrated both the correct washing techniques as well as the hydrophobic nature of the paint protection products.
