Post-wash, we re-inspected the vehicle, adhering to our rigorous standards of perfection.

Eliminating Flaws: The Science of Machine Polishing
We targeted the Porsche's subtle surface flaws, including swirl marks, using advanced machine polishing. This step is not just about car detailing aesthetics; it's a vital preparation for the paint protection film. A smooth, flaw-free surface ensures better adhesion of the film and maximizes its protective qualities. This process is a delicate balance of removing imperfections while preserving the integrity of the original paintwork.
Invisible Armour: The Technicalities of XPEL Paint Protection Film
The application of XPEL Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film is where our technical expertise truly shines. This film, while almost invisible, provides a robust protective barrier. Its self-healing properties are a critical feature; minor scratches and surface damages automatically repair under heat, maintaining an unblemished appearance. This film not only guards against physical abrasions but also shields the paint from environmental damages like UV rays, acid rain, and pollutants, effectively preserving the car's value and appearance.
The photo above shows the film mid-application. Note how the film has been pre-cut on our in-house plotting machine and the edges have been designed to wrap the film behind panels where possible. This creates a much better finish.
Enhanced Durability: The Role of Gtechniq Ceramic Coating
We augmented the Cayman's protection with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra Ceramic Coating. This coating is more than a superficial layer; its composition includes a hard 10h top layer and a softer 7h base layer, providing a balance of flexibility and toughness. This dual-layer structure enhances resistance to swirls and scratches. More importantly, it creates a hydrophobic surface, making the car easier to clean and more resistant to various contaminants, including harsh chemicals and bird droppings. The coating also tolerates extreme temperature variations, ensuring long-term durability and gloss retention.
